I’m an integrative psychiatrist, 2x cancer survivor and owner of Zen Psychiatry, a private practice located in Los Angeles, California.

I believe that clinicians should have the autonomy to create their own path – one where financial abundance and genuine joy in their work are not just possible but expected. By empowering clinicians to establish their own integrative private practices, we are not just transforming their careers — we are igniting a ripple effect of change that will touch the lives of all of the patients they will one day impact.

I believe that staying in broken systems out of fear or lack of knowledge is a disservice to both the clinician and the patient. By equipping psychiatrists with the essential business skills and mental frameworks needed to become successful entrepreneurs, we are offering them a better option — a path where they are no longer just clinicians but also empowered leaders of their own destiny.

I believe that if enough psychiatrists choose to leave behind the outdated, bureaucratic systems that undervalue their contributions, we will force these systems to change and finally recognize and adequately compensate the invaluable work that we do. Solo practitioners can provide more personalized, patient-centered care, far beyond what any large, impersonal organization can offer. We are actively fighting against the corporate takeover of medicine.

I believe in a ‘Middle Way’ approach to psychiatry — one that respects patient preferences, embraces holistic care, and draws from all healing modalities that can be beneficial. Integrative psychiatry is the future and represents wisdom, balance, and a commitment to truly comprehensive care. 

I am dedicated to making this approach the new standard and challenging the outdated notion that psychiatry must be either purely traditional or entirely alternative. I believe in a future where integrative psychiatry is not just accepted, but celebrated as the norm.
